Northlight

About This Project

The £32 million transformation of iconic Brierfield Mill into a major destination for the North West called Northlight is underway.

Our landmark mill occupies a seven acre site in a commanding position alongside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal with stunning views out to Pendle Hill.

The transformation of the Grade II listed building into a new living, working, learning, leisure and cultural destination has started.

The Northlight project is led by PEARL

It took on this challenging complex of historic buildings in 2012 after they’d lain empty for five years.
We are working to transform the seven acre site into a dynamic destination which capitalises on its unique heritage and canalside location.

Through a sensitive restoration with a contemporary design twist, coupled with the creation of a quality landscaped setting, the mill complex is being brought back to life.
