Quaker Heights

Canalside Heritage and new build Homes

About This Project

In 2010 PEARL bought this 19th century landmark mill complex in its Conservation Area setting from Pendle Council as part of an ambitious plan to create modern homes in a historic setting.

PEARL converted the striking four storey main mill warehouse and engine house building overlooking the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

Other buildings on the site were demolished. Five new three storey canalside homes were built and a further 21 new two and three storey mews style houses were built to complement the retained mill building.

The environment around Quaker Heights is undergoing a transformation, making this a great up and coming area for potential buyers to put down roots. PEARL’s adjoining Spinners View development provides new family homes and its Foxhills development, on a nearby canalside site, will provide attractive new bungalows and homes.

And a stone’s throw away, work has started on the Northlight project, involving the transformation of Brierfield Mill into a new destination for the North West with leisure, living and cultural opportunities.
